How to make beef stew with potatoes

I do not recommend that you make this recipe using an express pot.Very easy.Add the pepper and then the chopped tomato. Let cook a couple of minutes.

  • Now you're going to incorporate beef. Let it brown a little on all sides.
  • Add spices: oregano, salt and pepper.
  • Stirs a little. By this time the veal should have already thrown some of its juice.
  • Add the 3 cups of broth. Ideally, the meat and other ingredients are completely submerged in the liquid.
  • Take the teaspoon of tomato paste concentrate. Stir a little.
  • As it begins to boil, lower the heat and cover the pot.
  • Leave to cook over low heat until the meat softens (1 hour and about half).
  • Stir occasionally and check that the liquid has not dried , if necessary add more broth or water.
  • After 1 hour and a half, Try the meat, if it is already soft add the carrots and potatoes. Check that it is well salt and recaps.
  • As they are ready the potatoes will already be ready your veal stew.
  • Turn off the heat, let stand 5 minutes and serve.

    In addition to potatoes and carrots of this recipe, you can add to the stew practically any vegetable you want.

    My recommendation: put green peas, a leek chopped into slices, you can even put zucchini.

    Just add these ingredients at the same time as the carrot.

    Another delicious idea for this dish: put a glass of red wine in the stew when it is half cooked. Ummmm! Yes!
